July 8. Trondheim. Russian students who need accomodation will probably get it faster if they ask SiT rather than try to find a flat themselves on the private market with embarrassing results. On the bright side, we have a clear indication the demand for Russian whores in Trondheim is not satisfied :)
June 25. Exhibition "Take care! Art from Moscow and St. Petersburg" is open in Oslo until September 5.
June 8. Report from representative of Norway about meeting of Initiative group for creation of Russian Party of EU (Prague, June 4).
June 7. Aftenposten about Belorussia: "The last Soviet country".
June 6. Articles in strana.ru about the visit of Russian Foreign Minister to Norway on June 2—3.
May 26. Issue no. 6 of Russian Boulevard newspaper has got out. Russian community directory with announces of upcoming events has been published on-line. Also, the previous issue no. 5 has been made fully available on-line.
May 11. After a half-year pause, UDI has concluded: refugees from Chechnya can live safely in other places in Russia and will therefore not be granted asylum in Norway. Exception could be the cases of individual persecution (individuelt beskyttelsesbehov). Human rights advocates are concerned; UDI answers; they are still disturbed...

May 11. In May, many Russians and many Norwegians visit graves of Soviet prisoners of war who died in Norway. Sometimes newspapers write about it.
May 9. Russian cartoon "Karlik Nos" by Ilya Maximov won the main prize given by the public on Kristiansand International Children's Film Festival.
May 9. Bus with Russian tourists turned over on May 4 near Hønefoss. 10 out of 45 passengers hospitalized. The Police immediately suspected that Russian bus driver was drunken driving, and the blood test confirmed it later.

February 28. New magazine in Russian "Xenia in Scandinavia" targeted to Russian-speaking women living in Scandinavian countires has been announced. This monthly magazine will be published professionally (unlike RB). It will only come out if there are enough subscribers to the first issue; you can fill on-line form to subscribe.
The publisher and Editor-in-Chief are both located in Oslo.

February 14. Boris Akunin's book Leviathan has been translated into Norwegian.
February 2. Trondheim. Several new members have joined the board of Skazka society in 2004.
January 26. Russian Society of Kirkenes has been established.
January 26. Trondheim. New additions to club film library.
January 16. Issue no. 5 of Russian Boulevard newspaper has got out, and real subscription has opened. If you want to receive future issues of the newspaper, please subscribe.
