HTML and Web Publishing Workshop with Vadim Makarov
August 23: Basics: how Web pages work, writing HTML source, Russian encoding.
October 2: More HTML, site structure, indexing by search engines, adding images to a Web site. Development strategy for www.skazka.no site.

The workshop was geared towards enabling our members to edit www.skazka.no site directly. Too bad, it seemed that both the president and vice-president (Katya and Tatiana, correspondingly) were not willing to take on their parts of the routine site maintenance work.

July 16. A visit to Sverresborg Folkemuseum (albeit in a small company, due to holiday season)

In their new building, they mounted a new interesting exhibition "Pictures of Life" and fascinating slide show composed of medium-format aerial images of Norwegian landscape. All old exhibitions are still there, too.
June 5. General meeting in EL2, then picnic

The meeting made few changes in the club rules (available in Norwegian or Russian), elected new board members, discussed club activity and approved the budget 2000. Read meeting minutes.
April 30. We participated in International Sunday arranged by Soer-Troendelag Immigrants Council and other organizations in ISAK Kulturhus, Prinsensgt. 44, Trondheim

Men were singing, making speeches, telling anecdotes and showing slides for and about women in this evening. Every woman picked a gift or two for herself. Some presents were naughty enough to cause a surprise. In the middle of party, a Russian researcher not knowing about the club entered the room just to watch TV - and stayed with us, of course. It's a small world.

Almost every Wednesday evening (at 19:30, from end of June - at 18:30) - Russian video in EL2. Many of the films that were shown are also available for loan from the club film library.
